CAA Essential Employee Member Recognition Campaign

Posted By: Lisa Henning Industry,

Dear Members,

The Chicagoland Apartment Association (CAA) applauds you for your vitally important work during this pandemic. As Essential Employees, so many of you have labored tirelessly to keep your communities running while addressing very complex and new issues in an environment of extreme uncertainty.

We would like to highlight our properties and their onsite staff for their brave and tireless efforts, but we need your help in recognizing your teams to provide the attention they deserve. As such, we are announcing our #CAAEssentialExcellence effort that will be incorporated into our CAA ‘Thank You Thursday’ Facebook campaign.

  • CAA Thank You Thursday will be conducted on every Thursday beginning Thursday, May 21, and will continue throughout the summer.

  • Beginning immediately, we request our member management companies and properties participate in the following ways to help us recognize our essential workers serving properties throughout the Chicagoland area and across Illinois:

    • Share a photo(s) of a valued employee(s)/team (such as a leasing professional, maintenance supervisor, door staff/concierge, property manager, maintenance team, resident coordinator, etc.)

    • OPTIONAL: Briefly describe the work they are performing during the pandemic (or a brief story of where an employee went “above and beyond”)

    • Post the photos/stories to your company Facebook/Instagram page moving forward, using #CAAEssentialExcellence (please share as many ‘good news’ stories as you can throughout the coming weeks to help us highlight the great work being provided by our essential workers)

    • Be sure to tag the CAA Facebook page and CAA Instagram so we can help amplify your team’s efforts as part of our weekly Thank You Thursday campaign: @ChicagolandApartmentAssociation  | @CAAPTS

We have put together a short toolkit with sample messaging, a temporary profile filter for your Facebook and Instagram pages, and additional ideas for how you can be a part of this campaign. The toolkit is available by clicking here. (The toolkit page is password protected and members will need to log in.)

We hope you will join us in promoting all the amazing work we know you are already doing by participating in this effort. Our industry is so unique in that our onsite staff are officed in the home(s) of their clientele. We cannot wait to begin to highlight the dedication and commitment these team members consistently provide to our Chicagoland Apartment Association community.

Sincerely,
