Chicagoland Apartment Association Welcomes Valerie Fertitta as New Board President

Valerie Fertitta has been named president of the Chicagoland Apartment Association's Board of Directors.
Fertitta is the Managing Director of Real Estate for Greystar Property Management Services and is responsible for overseeing all third-party management operations for Greystar’s Midwest Region. Valerie joined Greystar in 2009 as part of the company’s acquisition of JPI, where she worked since 2001. Prior to her current role, she worked in several national markets, progressing from Regional Property Manager to Senior Director of Real Estate. Valerie’s experience includes luxury lease-ups from pre-development to stabilization, as well as large renovation projects from acquisition to successful repositioning. She has overseen a variety of product types, including garden, mid-rise, high-rise, and mixed-use. Valerie has been an active member of the Chicagoland Apartment Association since 2012 and became a board member in 2015 taking on leadership roles as Secretary of the Board (2018/19); First Vice President (2020/21) and Legislative Committee Chair (2020/21). Valerie participates extensively in philanthropic efforts and is the embodiment of Greystar’s people and service-oriented culture.
Fertitta assumed her new role on Friday, February 4, when the CAA Board of Directors held its first meeting of the new year. The following board officers were also confirmed for the executive committee for 2022.
