2025 Cook County Eviction Moratorium Order

The Cook County Sheriff has announced that eviction moratoriums in Cook County will begin on December 19^th and end on January 5^th, 2026, per the directive of Presiding Judge Kenneth Wright, Jr. Additionally, the Sheriff will cease execution of eviction orders when temperatures 15 degrees or lower, or in extreme weather conditions.
